Things to Know About the South Kona Area:

South Kona is world famous for it's coffee farms, which produce that glorious Kona cofee.

Kealakekua Bay is where Captain Cook showed up in 1779 and was mistaken to be the god Lono by the Hawaiian people. Later that year upon his return, he was killed there. This is why the Captain Cook monument was erected.
